Kenneth McElynn, MD

Dr. McElynn has enjoyed practicing medicine since 1999, with positions on both the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts of Florida. He also served in a Veterans Disability Clinic in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where he cared for U.S. Marines returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. Dr. McElynn served as a U.S. Department of Justice interpreter at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 1992 and also worked as medical staff in Haiti after the earthquake of 2010. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys reaching out to the Hispanic community to provide medical services. Dr. McElynn was awarded his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1999 and completed his family practice residency at Latrobe Area Hospital in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 2002. He holds a master’s degree in education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has enjoyed teaching medical students throughout his career. From 1986-89, he served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer stationed in Mauritania, West Africa.
